Individual Therapy

I’m fresh out of bandaids, let’s create deep, lasting change

My approach with individual clients is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), both evidenced based modalities that target a variety of issues including Anxiety, Depression, Life Adjustments and Trauma. Like many of my clients, you may be feeling stuck. Life is messy. Emotions are messy. In our work together we will identify emotional patterns that may no longer serve you and update them to better fit the life you want. In our work together, you can expect to deepen your relationship with yourself, increase self-compassion and gain a deeper understanding of the way you interact with your emotions. Our goal is to help you find your sense of wholeness, lightness and freedom to live your best life. I strive to create a safe space with warmth, acceptance and humor where you feel truly understood and empowered to make the changes you desire.

Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)

This framework focuses on the idea that humans are complex and our minds are made up of “parts” each serving a purpose and trying to help us in some way. A simple example of this is being asked to do a presentation at work, a part of you might feel excited, while another part might feel anxious. Parts often get stuck in past roles where they feel that the only way to help us or keep us safe is to do what they are doing, even if it is actually not what we need in our present lives. Through getting to know your parts you can help to heal any wounds they may be holding and create a compassionate, effective working relationship.

Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

PCIT is an evidence based therapy for young children ages 3-6. It is effective in treating issues such as separation anxiety, general anxiety, trauma, disruptive behavior and tantrums. There are two parts of treatment. The first focuses on strengthening the positive relationship between you and your child, and increasing your child’s sense of confidence, calm and connection. The second phase focuses on effective discipline strategies to help you stay calm and in control when handling tough behaviors.
